In Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) 3, Liberty County allocated $11.7 million to road maintenance. This money was divided among the cities and commission districts to provide improvements to many of the 258 miles of County-maintained roads. Paving one mile of road during this time exceeds $750,000.
