In this round of Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) 2, the Recreation Department constructed a multi-purpose recreation facility, which was named the Charles Shuman Center. They were also able to construct several community parks and fund other capital upgrades.
Eve Park is located down at Half Moon community. The park is one of many community parks located throughout Liberty County.
Gum Branch park is located on 196 West and is on the west side of Liberty County. It is equipped with:
- Ball field
- Basketball court
- Pavilion
- Playground
- Walking trail
