Water Services

Liberty County's rural water system was established in 2015 and serves approximately 434 residents with clean affordable drinking water. This water project was funded solely through a loan from the United States Department of Agriculture, Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST), and Community Development Block Grant funds. The water system is designed to pay for itself through user fees and is not taxpayer funded.

Service Area

The Liberty County Water Service Delivery Service Area is generally described as an area covering Holmestown Road, Holmestown Loop Road, Highway 84 to Bill Carter Road, and Lewis Frasier Road to Screven Fork Road. View a map of our Water Service Area (JPG). Connection to the system is mandatory for new construction occurring within 200 feet of service availability.
